What I've Been Doing...

Prep work is exhausting.  I have a number of projects in the works, large and small, and in the interests of streamlining productivity I've been doing everything in huge batch steps--cutting and shaping bricks and stones, punching leaves and petals, etc etc etc.  And while this kind of repetitive work isn't the most fun thing in the universe, it's rewarding because in the end it really does pay off.

This is what 5,500 assorted bricks and stones look like.

This is the sad, sad little number of petals that one 6" sheet of origami paper yields.

In a half cup container.

I've used a lot of different papers, with varying results and degrees of satisfaction; this is my favorite.

Each of these containers contains a few hundred--to a few thousand--leaves or petals.

How's everyone else doing?

Wow, you certainly have been busy! But isn't is great when you want to start a new project, to all ready have the things you need for it?

I am doing well, planning a chicken (piggy) bank for our stand that we sell our eggs on. Hopefully that will turn out as I am picturing :)

Wow, it all looks very impressive and I'm sure you feel really smug, and will do when you come to work with them but it must have been incredibly mind numbing at the time? 10/10 for sticking with it?

Hello C.J.
It must be wonderful to work on projects and have elements like this ready to go. I must say you are incredibly organized! Have fun.
Big hug,

My jaw dropped at the amount of work you've done. I've never been that organized, nor that patient. Looking at your past projects, I know that the next ones will turn out just as detailed, and think of the satisfaction you will have achieved, knowing you did it all yourself.
